The Center for Performing Arts John F. Kennedy was evacuated after a threat of a bomb called Thursday morning.
A spokesman for the Kennedy Center says the threat is aimed at Shen Yun, a dance troupe tour that is banned in China as it is related to the Falun Gong Religious Group. The group hires a theater in the center for its performances.
The Kennedy Center said “security acted quickly by following existing protocols.”
