The Jewelry Symposium (former Santa Fa Symposium) to project AI, traceability and sustainable practices – Solitaire International

The Jewelry Symposium (TJS), previously known as the Santa Fe Symposium, Premier International Event for jewelry production technology, will be convened in Detroit Marriott Troy from May 17-20, 2025 with focus on avant-garde technology and sustainability. This year, the symposium will expand beyond its traditional focus on metallurgy and workmanship to deal with critical problems in the industry such as responsible supplies, AI integration and modern production processes.

“We had an unprecedented number of proposals and summons for 2025 and we are glad that many of our respected presenters will focus on timely and important issues such as sustainability and technology,” says Linus Drogs, chairman of the TJS Council. “We are grateful to the experts who will share the latest information about CAD, AI and Additive Manufacturing (3-D prints), as well as a group of professionals focused on the sustainability associated with the responsible supply chain and the tracking of colorful precious stones. “

The symposium will include presentations from leading experts around the world, taking care of a diverse audience of jewelers, designers, manufacturers, students, retailers. Among the technology sessions, Scott Bradford from Gesswein will explore CAD techniques and software for improved jewelry design, while Jenny Luker of Platinum Guild International (PGI) will reveal a new platinum alloy. Consultant Anne Miller will deepen the potential of the generative AI, and Joseph Strauss from HJE Company, Inc. It will discuss progress in 3-D Sinter-based print.

Sustainability and ethical supply will also occupy the central place, with Eric Bravart from the House of Precious Stones in Colombia and the consultant Frank Cooper examines the tracking of colored gems.
