Meals at Bardea steak in the center of Wilmington
You don’t have to engage in steak. The Market Street Restaurant has a variety of small plates and snacks, along with the chef tasting menu.
An Italian American restaurant, inspired by the grandmothers of the James BeiD Award Award, Antimo Demeo, opens on Monday, February 3, in the DE.CO food hall in the center of Wilmington.
Casa Nonna is a new restaurant with full service from Dimeo, Scott Stein and Pino Dimeo, the owners of the Bardea restaurant group. The team also manages the city restaurants Bardea Food & Drink, Bardea Steak and The Garden, a seasonal breakfast located several blocks of Market Street.
The Bardea Group in January took the culinary operations of the food hall. In addition to Casa Nonna in de.co, they will update their existing stalls there, Takeria El Chinnon and Pizza Bardea and have plans to add more concepts such as Sumac offering Mediterranean foods and Bardea beans, cafe.
Casa Nonna, serving antipasts, pasta, pizzas, appetizers and desserts, will be open to dinner six days a week. Lunch service is expected to start soon.
The restaurant celebrates dishes made and inspired by the grandmother’s grandmother Antimo Dimeo.
The dishes include chicken parm; Nonna meatballs; Rigatons with Sunday Ragu; and Pappardelle with Fontina truffle cream, mushrooms and short ribs. Pizza garnish include sausage, slavery, fig broccoli, truffle cream, storm and prosciutto.
Protects include a rabbit with caramelized sweet onions and green olive; Pork is Buko; The New York strip of steak and whole brand. Prices range from $ 11 to $ 50.
The restaurant with its personalized upholstered banquets and painted and colored tables and chairs is designed by Philadelphia -based Stokes Architecture + Design, a company whose recent Wilmington work includes Bardea Steak and Quoin.
Treatment of windows and decor arrange the windows of the restaurant facing Orange Street. The color scheme is cream, emerald, turquoise, black and white.

Casa Nonna will open from Monday to Thursday from 4 pm to 9 pm and Friday to Saturday from 4pm to 10pm the reservations are available at Opentable Visit Casanonnade.com.
The Bardea restaurant opened its first Bardea Food & Drink restaurant in 2019. The same year, it was recognized by the Beard Foundation as one of the best new restaurants in the country.
Coming in mid -March from the Bardea team is Roost Pub & Kitchen, a casual place in the center of Wilmington serving “raised comfortable foods”, such as flat breads, chicken offers, sandwiches, burgers, salads, nacho and wings. He takes over the place of the former Stitch House brewery at 829 N. Market St.
