Wilmington, de -The authorities are investigating a fatal attack that took the life of 84-year-old Wilmington resident last year, according to a Wilmington police station.

The incident took place on June 13, 2024, when the officers responded at a residence in a 100 block on South Held Street after reports of a home -related attack. After arriving, officers deployed Preston Hudson, the victim who was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

In August, however, Hudson died due to complications associated with his treatment after the attack. A subsequent decision from the Delueer Forensic Science Division in December determined that his death was a direct result of injuries suffered in the incident.

The investigation continues, and authorities are urging anyone with the case related to the case to contact Detective Brandon Mosley at (302) 576-3646 or Delaware Crime Stopers on 1-800-TIP-3333.

Police emphasize that the allegations are subject to investigation and all participants are supposed to be innocent unless they have been proven to be guilty of court.
