KCBD reports that there will now be charges for employees to accompany a funeral procession. I find this interesting at so many levels, first, I always thought that officers were there to deal with potential traffic problems rather than “honor” or a way to lead grieving to the graves. I guess I just had it back.

Fee

Let’s start with the fact that the officers deserve to be paid for their time. The fee will be $ 65 per hour with a minimum of two hours. I would also say that the police prefer to work in groups of two or more so that they can return each other. Also, you will probably need a person to lead the procession and one to ride forward to block traffic. So, you probably look at a minimum of $ 260 if you can keep it to two officers.
