A former Miami police officer is ready to spend up to 30 years in prison for shooting his ex -boyfriend on his cop in his head outside his home in November 2022.
Jesenia Sanchez, a 35-year-old, who had a history of domestic violence with her ex-boyfriend Damian Colon, pleaded guilty to a first-degree attempt at the November 2022 shooting after retired police in Miami-Dad.
As part of the legal basis, Sanchez was sentenced to 30 years in prison by a maximum of 25 years.
In addition, Sanchez must undergo 30 years of probation after his release and should be far from the colon.
Sanchez admitted that she used an application to lurk her alienated boyfriend, who was out of duty at the time, at the home of her family in 1200 block on Western 79th Street in Hyalea on November 1, 2022.
The couple, who was in a seven-year relationship at the time, argued before the home surveillance footage shows the then 32-year-old Unlolster pistol and shot his ex-friend in the head before taking off.
As he was trying to escape, Sanchez crashed his car, abandoned her and fled on foot before being detained, Miami Herald reported.

Police identified her through CCTV, and she later acknowledged the shooting, admitting that she had used GPS to track her ex-lover.
The former school officer was arrested during the year before, in September 2021 on charges of domestic violence related to colon dispute.
During the heated dispute, Sanchez threatened with a gun and knife, throwing a ceramic object into a colon before hitting and scratching it and cutting the tires of her car.
It is reported that Sanchez resigned from his position in the school officer later that month, instead of termination, according to the school neighborhood in Miami-Dad.
Miami-Dadd Prosecutor Catherine Fernandez Rundell issued a statement after a sentence on Friday, claiming that no one was immunized against the “horror” of domestic violence, not even law enforcement officers.

Colon, who retired from the Sheriff’s office in Miami-Dad last week, was in the courtroom when Sanchez accepted the legal basis agreement with family and friends.
“They finished my career. I wouldn’t end my career, but she finished my career and she knows this very well. My career would not end, “he said in tears.
Colon added that while justice could be served, Sanchez destroyed her life and that of his family.
“I think justice has been served,” he said. “She got what she deserved and had to get more, but I will take what she received.
