Boise, Idaho (CBS2) – A fugitive wanted for violent crimes in Washington was arrested on Monday morning by the Boise Police Department.
The BPD report received “Be alert for” Sunday evening. The suspect is a 36-year-old man from the County of Formon, Washington, named Devin Smith. He was wanted to rape a child, domestic violence and attack, and police claim to have been investigated for additional violence crimes, including abduction and a fake prison.
Boise police say they have discovered W. Franklin RD’s Smith truck. Around 8:00 on Monday and employees confirmed that Smith was in a local business. BPD reports that employees have provided the scene and approached Smith as he leaves the business. Smith then tried to “hurt his own neck with a knife,” according to police. Officers fired a “less than a deadly” 40mm circle in Smith, who then turned to run in front of the K9 and an officer with Taser stopped him.
Smith has been taken to the hospital for self -affordable injuries and will be transported to the prison of Ada County after being released, according to the BPD, where he will wait for extradition production back in Washington.
