The fourth annual Boo Brew Crawl will be held in Madison Village – News-Herald

A Halloween event for adults will be held for the fourth year in a row in Madison Village.

The Boo Brew Crawl is set for 5:00pm to 8:00pm on October 26 at various community center locations.

Six rural companies will participate in the celebration:

• Wild Burrito Mexican Taste and Margarita Bar, 125 North Lake St.

• Flagship-Craft Cocktails and Eatery, 106 N. Lake

• 528 Tavern, 111 N. Lake

• Duffy’s Tavern, 60 West Main St.

• Madison Brewing Co., 70 W. Main

• Arcola Creek Tattoo, 123 N. Lake

Tickets for the Boo Brew Crawl are $25 (or $20 for designated drivers) and are on sale through Oct. 25 at all participating businesses and Madison Village Hall, located at 33 E. Main St.

In addition, event organizers will likely have last-minute tickets available for purchase between 4 and 5 p.m. Oct. 26 at the bandstand in Village Park, located at West Main and River streets, said Madison Village Administrator Dwayne Bailey . This deadline is also when ticket holders can claim their Boo Brew promotional items.

Each guest receives an official 2024 Boo Brew Crawl t-shirt and baseball cap; strap; an ID card for promotions and discounts at participating bars and restaurants and a temporary tattoo from Arcola Creek Tattoo; necklace; and sunglasses.

Ticket buyers are encouraged to visit all six participating locations and get their ID cards punched, making them eligible to win prizes.

The grand prize winner will receive an overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 181 Water Tower Drive in Madison Village.

All five restaurants and bars participating in this year’s Boo Brew Crawl are part of the Village Center Outdoor Refreshment Area, or DORA, which was established in 2021.

DORA covers the village park and square; West Main Street, between River Street and East Main Street; and North Lake Street from its southernmost point to the railroad tracks.

Within this designated area, licensed alcohol establishments that have been granted permission to join DORA are allowed to sell alcohol in specially marked glasses. Patrons are allowed to take these cups outside the establishments in the designated area during certain times.

The annual Boo Brew Crawl is presented by the Madison Community Improvement Corporation. Proceeds from the event will help fund the 2025 Concert in the Park Series, which is sponsored by MCIC; and be donated to other local charities.
