The former Washington, who runs back Clinton Portis, goes home again, back to the sport, which helped him win the love and toasts of DMV fans in the early 2000s.
Portis came to Washington through the NFL season in 2004 after the Pro Bowl season with Denver Broncos in his second year in the league.
From there, he would spend seven more seasons in the League, winning another Pro Bowl appearance in 2008 and rushed to over 6,000 yards, wearing Bordeaux and Gold.
The last time he played in the NFL game was 2010, so it was a minute. However, with the announcement that he will join the employees of the former teammate of Den Jackson in Delaware, Portis returns to a ball.
Portis will serve as a Jackson coach for Beck and will manage the game coordinator, announced. Jackson himself was introduced as the head coach of the team in December.
The two are just the most former NFL stars that join the coaching ranks among historically black universities. Before them, Dean Sanders led Jackson State, eventually led to his employee from the University of Colorado, where he is currently.
Former NFL defender Michael Vick is now a coach of Norfolk State, while ex -running Eddie George is in Tennessee.
For Portis, returning to football is more than a job, but a chance to bring things back in his life after NFL after serving his sentence for health care deceit by deceiving a program in the league designed to recover certain medical expenses.
Jackson, Portis and Delaware State will host Vick and Norfolk State to play on November 1, 2025.
