Topeka, Kan. (Wibw) – those who are from the Topeka area may remember the name Ky Thomas.
Yesterday, the same person who shines under Friday evening lights of Hummer Sports Park will again hit the grid in the capital.
Former Topeka High star, who is running back, has announced that she will play her last season as a collegial ball at Washburn University.
Thomas rounded his career in high school as the city’s explosion leader of all time and haste number two in the history of the country. He was also named Gatorade Player of the Year.
His college career began in Minnesota before moving to Kansas, then eventually to Kent.
The 6-foot, 200-pound back says he is excited by a new start and that he feels right to return home.
