Phoenix, a Florida man, has been sentenced last week to over three decades in prison for the operation of children in the Phoenix area through online games and social media platforms, authorities said on Monday.
The 24-year-old Jacob Lozano received a 32-year sentence on Friday after having previously pleaded guilty to two allegations of sexual exploitation of a minor and three charges of attempting to aggravate a minor.
Fifteen other charges were dismissed as part of the legal basis agreement.
The sentence was given a year after Lausano was removed in his Arcadia, Florida, at his home by order of arrest issued in Maricopa County. In the end, he was extradited to Arizona to be chased.
When did Arizona authorities start investigating the man in Florida?
The Scottsdale Police Department opened an investigation in November 2023 after the mother of an 11-year-old boy found sexually explicit images and messages on her mobile phone.
Police have learned that the man in Florida has sent messages after he met the boy while playing Fortnite. During the investigation, Lozano sent explicit images to himself and sexual abuse of the undercover detective children posing as the boy, prosecutors said.
Investigators also identify two more victims of the Phoenix region that Lausano has sent messages via Discord and forced sexual activity over a webcam.
“Jacob Lozano has found an online playground for the child and uses it as a means of his own satisfaction,” said Maricopa County lawyer Rachel Mitchell in a press release. “I congratulate the parent in this case, who was paying great attention.
