WINSTON-SALEM — With just over 24 hours until the polls close on Election Day, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden headed to North Carolina, one of those stops being in Winston-Salem, to deliver a final message to voters.
The Harris campaign made stops around the Tar Heel state with Dr. Jill Biden in a last-ditch effort to turn the three-time voting red state blue.
The campaign focuses on key issues such as reproductive rights.
“Only President Harris will protect our freedoms like a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions,” said Dr. Biden.
While there, Dr. Biden also encouraged voters to keep campaigning in the final hours of the election.
“I feel, as they say, ‘terribly optimistic.’ I feel very good about the work we’ve done not only in this district but across the state of North Carolina, it feels very different from the last election,” said Angela Levin, DNC delegate.
Republican nominee Donald Trump headed to the state capitol for a series of remarks earlier today, where he expressed his confidence in winning North Carolina.
“I said, you know, we have a problem because North Carolina is reliable for me, I’ve never lost and I don’t think I’m going to start now,” Trump exclaimed.
Forsyth County groups will be open from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m
