Ottawa-premier Justin Trudeau says the federal government is moving forward with a high-speed rail network between Quebec City and Toronto.
The liberal government says that the planned rail network will cover approximately 1000 kilometers and reach speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour.
There will be stops in Toronto, Peterborough, Ottawa, Montreal, Laval, Troi-Rivier and Quebec City.
The government says the new system will reduce the travel time by half – receive travelers from Montreal to Toronto in three hours.
The official name of the high -speed rail service will be Alto.
Traudo and Transport Minister Anita Anand made a message today in Montreal.
