Donizetti’s outdated comedy for love and romantic despair promises an unforgettable experience
A film screening of the production of Santa Fe’s opera by Gaetano Donizetti’s Elixir of Love will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Anderson, E. E.
The Elixir of Love was premiered in Milan, Italy, in 1832. Donizetti is said to have written this popular opera within a few weeks.
The Elixir of Love has won countless awards for its productions and has been produced by theater companies around the world, including the Operation in Minnesota and Kuala Lumpur City Opera in Malaysia.
Stephen Lowles has led the revival of the production of Santa Fu Opera since 2009 in an Italian village in 1945. He has previously directed the opera on operas in Washington, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
Lawless was the director of the production of Touring Opera Glyndebourne in the United Kingdom (United Kingdom) from 1986 to 1991. The production was revived at the Glyndebourne Festival 1992. He made his debut with the opera Kirov in Leningrad, producing Boris Godunov, which was broadcast live on British television, the first of its kind TV from the Soviet Union to the United Kingdom
Former apprentice Jona Hoskins performs Nemorino, the Chilean soprano Yaritza Véliz sings the role of Adina, and former apprentice Luke Sutlif is Belcor.
The story of “The Elixir of Love” focuses on a dubious love decoction that a charismatic performer is distributed. Will it help the shy, not so cellular mechanic to win the heart of his gala? In this tale laughs flowing as freely as Kianti’s wine, along with a dill. The audience will be glad to watch lovers find their foundation and the elixir does their job.
The Elixir of Love goes on a tour in New Mexico. In honor of the 67th Festival of the Opera and the LOVE season, Santa Fe Opera invites fans of opera and newcomers to enjoy free screenings at The Elixir of Love in New Mexico in February and March.
February screenings include a pre -performance discussion suitable for Oliver children.
Conductor, composer, purist and art teacher Prezant presented lectures and educational programs for organizations, including The Santa Fe Opera, the Santa Fe Fe Festival Festival, Opera Southwest, Albuquerque Chamber Music, National Spanish Cultural Center, as well as the programs of The Oh The connection of music and visual art for the Georgia O’Kif Museum, the Museum of Art in New Mexico and the Albukerke Museum of Arts.
He was one of the fundamental teachers in the Program for works of Art of the Partners in Education Foundation for public schools in Santa Fe, a program for inspired by the Institute at the Lincoln Center, which provides art workshops for art, theater and dance. Prezant is currently the executive and artistic director of the Opus Op Arts and Education Projects, which provides music and art programs for listeners, musicians and teachers.
Admission is free. All seating places are first, first service. No registration is required.
