Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – Due to the Flint Hills Shootout High School tournament, both Emporia men, and women’s basketball games were pushed a day. Both teams hosted Arkansas-Form Smith.
Emporia State (W) 68, Arkansas-Fort Smith 87
The Hornets lose a strip expanded to seven straight after losing the lions.
Despite the loss, Grace Gilpin appeared in insult, knocked down six 3-indicatives and recording the highest 22 points. Elizabeth Taden added 16 points and was good for three thefts.
Emporia State (M) 81, Arkansas-Fort Smith 75
Late in the first half, Hornets continued with 9 points and the lions struggled to answer. The Emporia State came in half with a healthy lead with 45-22 points.
Malik Edwards led the team in a 22 -point rating.
Both troops are again at White Arena on January 30th. The women start the night at 5:30 pm, followed by the men at 7:30 pm.
