The cabin, which will be built in the garden of the goalkeeper’s door, hawthorn, seyel, was given by the Durham County Council on January 29th.
Proposals include changes in the entrance to the drive, the creation of a parking space and the removal of two trees.
The application was submitted by Michael Tsang on April 20, 2021.
Different conditions are applied to the approval to ensure that the project adheres to the environmental and community guidelines.
These include the installation of a temporary fence for the protection of the hawthorn forest with a special scientific interest (SSSI) during construction and submission and approval of a detailed landscaping scheme to replace the carved trees.

A risk management plan will also be needed to mitigate the impact of recreation, such as accidental fires and waste.
The holiday cabin, intended for short -term rental, must be available for at least 140 days a year, without a single rental over 31 days.

The place, located within the hawthorn dene SSSI and Durham Coast Habitat Sumatt Redumions Buffer Zone, will witness a minor habitat loss that will be offset by biodiversity measures.
A financial contribution of 756.61 British pounds is also designed for environmental softening.
The project will also see a new expanded safety access and add another parking space, which will lead to a total of five.
Surface waters will be thrown into a nearby water supply, while the sewer for a foul will be connected to the existing house system.
The application did not receive objections or support from the neighbors.
