The company plans a 69 million dollar gonzales assembly, will create 175 jobs – the advocate

John H. Carter Co./Controlworx has said it will build a $ 69 million assembly and distribution facility in Gonzales, a move that will create 175 new jobs.

The Baton -based company will create jobs over the next decade, with an estimated salary of $ 12.5 million. This will also lead to 301 indirect new jobs at Metro Baton Rouge, according to Louisiana’s economic development evaluations.

John H. Carter said he would build a factory of 285,000 square meters per 3088 S. Burnside Ave., with construction being early next month. Trade operations will start in about two years.

The company will assemble, serve and distribute products to control the flow of Gonzales location and distribute them to customers in oil and gas, chemical refining, energy, renewable energy and paper production.

John H. Carter began operations in 1933. The company has more than 800 employees in Louisiana and Alabama and provides a wide range of process automation products.

To get the company to expand at Ascension Parish, LED offers John H. Carter a stimulating package that includes a $ 590,000 economic award award for improving infrastructure. This grant award is subject to approval by the Louisiana Economic Development Council. The company is also expected to participate in industrial tax release programs and quality jobs.
