The law enforcement community has partnered with a local business to raise money for a fallen officer Jason Roskov.

The injured police officer’s fund was raising funds for a police officer in North Las Vegas, who was detained on Monday at Nevada Coin Mart near Flamingo and Jones. Nearly a week after he was killed in the duty.

All the revenue from the store went to the officer’s family, who left behind two children.

“These are the people who put their lives on the line to protect us,” said store owner Neil Sakmeyer, who partnered with the organization in fundraising.

“I wanted to support them because it was just a sad situation. These children did not deserve to lose their father,” said Brittany Martin, who refused to buy a plate of food.

Tents and chairs packed the parking lot. The food was also sold, provided by a local restaurant.
