Clarksville, tn – According to a message from the Clarksville Department, a new movement signal is expected to go into operation on February 5 at the intersection of Trenton Road and the new Spring Creek Parkway.
The signal will start to blink on Wednesday, January 29, and will continue to do so until approximately 5 February. The purpose of flashing the first week is to notify the public about the new intersection.
In addition, the Clarksville Street department will change sidewalk markings along the Trenton path to allow the intersection to properly function. Drivers are asked to remain cautious and expect periodic delays.
The crews will work on the road between 9:00 and 14:00 to avoid interruption of school traffic.
Parkway Spring Creek
The new traffic signal is part of the Spring Creek Parkway project, which is included in the 2020+ transport plan in the city.
Spring Creek Parkway is a new city street under construction, that is, connecting two state (Tennessee from the Ministry of Transport) highways – Trenton Road to Wilma Rudolf Boulevard and ultimately Ted Crosier -Sri Boulevard, which is a city street.
The ultimate goal of the project is to help relieve traffic pressure on these state highways, as well as Boulevard Ted Crosier -Seni and Interstate 24 in Montgomery County.
The first phase of Spring Creek Parkway, which is approaching, moves from Trenton Road to Spring Creek.
Phase 2 of the project will include the bridge over Spring Creek, as well as the completed connection with Wilma Rudolf Boulevard. Phase 2 is expected to start construction later this year.
