The Daytona 500 is the biggest NASCAR race, but some of its biggest drivers have never won. This is the case with the current harvest of the stars of sports. Entering Sunday in the 67th Daytona 500, here are the best active drivers of the NASCAR CUP series who have not yet won the “big American race”.

Kyle bush

Bush, a two -time cup champion, made 19 start of the Daytona 500. He came so close to the victory in 2023, but finished 19th after a crash in the last lap. In 2019, he finished second with his teammate Danny Hamlin. His victory in the Lone Cup series in Daytona came in July 2008, and he could take a little old magic for Bush so he could recreate Dale Ernhard’s iconic “20 -year triumph”.

Ryan Blaney

The Cup Champion 2023 has become one of NASCAR’s smallest stars in the last two seasons, but Blaney is yet to find a way to win the Dayton 500. This is strange, given that it is one of the most. Good Superspeedway athletes in sports. Blaina is proud of three victories in Taladega and won in Daytona in August 2021. He finished a runner -up to Kurt Bush alone at his second start to the Daytona 500 in 2017 and lost to Danny Hamlin in 2020. Blaney almost exceeds the team of the team of Penske Astin. Syndrik for the victory in 2022 before contact from Sindrik transferred Blaina to fourth place. For a driver who is only 31 years old, Blaina has already seen his share of the Daton Heartbreak Heartbreak.

Brad Kesselovsky

Like Blaney, Keselowski is one of the best Superspeedway athletes who have not yet won Daytona 500, but his most heartbreaking loss occurred in 2021 when a misconception sent to both Kesselovsky and Penzke teammate Joey Logano around. Kesselovsky must have a quick RFK Ford under it on Sunday and if it reaches the front, it will not take prisoners.

Kyle Larson

Superspeedways have not been miles with the CUP champion since 2021. At the 21st start in Daytona, Larson is yet to end inside the top five. His most sophisticated loss in Daytona 500 occurred in 2017, when he exhausted gas at the moments of the race. His graduations in his seventh place in 2016 and 2019 are bound by his best efforts as Daytona 500 and may take luck for the # 5 for Grace Dayton’s victory.

Chase Elliott

Elliott is a two -time winner at Talladega and a winner of the reconfigured Speedway Atlanta Motor Speedway, but the Daytona has been avoiding it so far. At the 18th start of Daytona, he has only three top-five finishes. Like Larson, Fuel Mileage Took Him Out of Contention in the Closing Laps of the 2017 500. His Best Daytona 500 Finish Came In 2021 Winner Michael McDowell for a Second- Place the finish.

The chaos, which often consumes the Daton 500 field, takes many aspects of the race from the hands of drivers, but do not be fooled: these drivers want to win Daytona 500 more than any race in the schedule.

Samuel Stubs Samuel follows NASCAR as he was six years old. When he does not cover the track races or does not handle the action from the home, he probably does the same for a football match. He will visit the University of Arkansas in the fall of 2025. More about Samuel Stubs
