The Arizona Indian Festival is back in Scotsdale this weekend for the 11th time – ktar.com

Phoenix – the Arizona Indian Festival will return to Scottsdale this weekend for its 11th iteration in the city of Eastern Valley.

The free two -day event will host the Civil Center of Scottsdale (3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.) from 9:00 to 18:00 Saturday and from 10am to 4pm Sunday.

The festival, hosting the American Arizona Tourism Association, will include traditional local arts and crafts, food and performances. It will also function as a tourism platform for the 22 tribes.

Apache crown dancers and traditional Hopi dancers are ready to go to the festival.

New this year will be the symposium for root food on Saturday. The event will include speakers and panel, providing a showcase for all food.

More than 16,000 people attended the festival, the origin of which a date of 1996 last year.

The festival has been held in Scottsdale since 2015.
