Nebraska’s Agriculture Department (NDA) opened the application process for adolescents and elderly people interested in visiting the Youth Institute for Agricultural Youth in Nebraska (Nayi).
The most is one of the biggest events of the Youth events in Nebraska. The five -day program brings together students to contact AG leaders, learn more about the industry and find a career available in agriculture. NDA helps sponsor and coordinate Nayi every year. This year the theme is “Agriculture: This is in our genes.”
Nayi will be held at the Eastern Campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln 7-11 July, 2025. The current adolescents and the elderly who are interested in presence should apply online at: nda.nebraska.gov/nayi/. All applications must be submitted by April 15, 2025. The NDA chooses students to attend Nayi based on their interest in agriculture, leadership skills and participation.
Nayi includes motivational speakers, agricultural discussions, career development, networking opportunities, leadership activities, farm management, official banquet and award and dance presentation. In its 54th year, Nayi is the longest -time ruling agricultural youth program of its kind in the nation. More than 225 students visited Naya last year.

Nayi is coordinated by the Nebraska Agricultural Council, which consists of 23 college students selected by NDA for their passion and interest in the AG industry. The purpose of the Council is to provide young Nebrasan people with a better understanding of agriculture, including agricultural opportunities available to today’s youth.
