NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (NOP) – The Cowboy Christmas Gift Show drew more than 2,100 people over the weekend, celebrating its 19th year.
People had to bring a non-perishable food item to enter, and all the food goes to the North Platte Catholic Community Pantry.
There were 105 vendors, and the show provided holiday shopping for people looking to find unique gifts in time for the holidays.
Event Coordinator Shelley Ahrensdorf designed this from the famous Cowboy Christmas at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
“I thought North Platte needed one of those here,” Arensdorf said. “So I set it up and designed it after that and tried to find unique vendors that are unique and something different that we don’t see every day and give people in the area a chance to find something that they wouldn’t find in a store or wherever to be elsewhere.
As one of the highlights of many people’s holiday calendars, the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show continues to be a cherished tradition. It brings community members together and showcases the talent of vendors.
Finally, a 50/50 raffle was held for eight sixth graders from Hershey who are going on a science trip to Florida in June.
