The American Cardiac Association is preparing for heart health events in Baton Rouge – Brproud.com

Baton Rouge, La. (Louisiana First) – February is American Heart Month. The leaders of the American Heart Association in the Grand Baton Rouge will host several events to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and prevention.

Everyone is encouraged to wear red on the National Red Clothing Day on Friday, February 7, to support the Go Red For Women movement. The same day will be 2025 Go Red for Women Luncheon in The L’Auberge Event Center.

In February, health experts call on all families to learn CPR’s life -saving skill. With over 350,000 people who are experiencing cardiac arrests outside a hospital, including 23,000 children, experts said CPR is a critical skill that children at 9 years old can learn.

According to the association, future events will be announced in accounts in the social media of the association.
