Tenby Lifeboat is a cause close to the heart of young Archie Garland, as his father Rob Garland is one of the deputy -coxswains.

Archie’s mother, Claire Thomas, is a member of the Tenby Aces Sports Club, who organizes Christmas Advent Challenge.

The goal was to throw away at least one mile every day in Advent, and Archie managed to cover 47.3 miles.

In this way, he collected the wonderful sum of 552,25 British pounds, thanks to the generous donations made by community members.

It was a proud moment for Archie and his mom and dad when he went together to Tenby’s rescue station to present his check.

A spokesman for Tenby Rnli has defined the efforts to raise Archie as “incredible” and added: “The Tenby Rnli crew would like to tell you a huge thank you.”
