Police arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting that happened in Long Beach in early December.

Initial incident Happened on December 10th Around 13:15, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The officers were summoned into a 900 block of Via Carmelitos after learning of shots in the area and arriving to find a person suffering from multiple firearms.

The victim, since identified as 32-year-old Dwayne Walton of the Los Angeles medical examination, has been declared dead in the place of the paramedics.

Through an extensive investigation, detectives have identified suspects such as 18-year-old Mario Amarion Jennings of Rancho Kukamonga, a LBPD statement said.

Jennings was arrested on Thursday after LBPD officials and special investigative staff, along with members of San Bernardino County Sheriff, members of the SWAT department team, ordered an order.

He was booked at Long Beach City prison and stayed behind bars instead of a $ 3 million warranty, police said.

Investigators have not yet released a motive for the incident.
