The 16-year-old pleads guilty to the murder of three women in joy. He faced 65 years in prison – AOL

A teenager in Florida, who rejoiced and collided with another vehicle, killing three women, pleaded guilty to the accusations and could have faced decades in prison.

16-year-old Maykoll Santiteban appeared in the Miami-Dad courtroom on Friday, where he pleaded guilty to three charges of murder and driving without a death certificate.

He was only 15 years old when he removed his father’s car to the deadly joy in Hyalia on April 23, 2024. Hyali police said in a parked SUV with three women inside.

The Yari Garcia Hernandez, 39 -year -old, and her aunt Gloria Hernandez, 71, were declared dead in the place. Hernandez’s 66-year-old mother, Liliana Hernandez Molina, has died of her injuries in September, WPLG reported.

Members of the victims who were in court on Friday have become emotional at times, according to NBC Miami.

Bob Garcia, who lost his wife, daughter and daughter -in -law in the crash, said nothing would return his family.

“I can’t kiss my wife, I can’t hug them, we can’t celebrate Christmas,” Garcia said in Spanish. “Nothing will pay off what I lost.”

Garcia added that he moisturized her faith in the judge when it came to the sentence of Santsteban.

The teenager is accused of adult and faced 28 and 65 years in prison. The judge said on Friday that the teenager would have to serve at least 28 years in the state prison.

However, his lawyers are looking for a much shorter sentence.

Santiesteban will be sentenced on March 26th.
