“Thank you, thank you a lot”: 5 LaS Vegas Lazes Landmarks – Las Vegas Review -Journal

It can be argued that the Rock and Roll King is associated with Las Vegas almost as much as he is in his native memphis.

Elvis Presley launched a seven -year residence at the then International Hotel in 1969, throwing hits in front of over 600 crowds sold.

In the years thereafter, the impersonators in the iconic Elvis Garb abound in the local wedding chain, the stages of performance and international events in the so -called “entertainment capital of the world”.

For example, Formula One Champion Max Verstapen even wore a Presley -inspired racing suit when he won the Las Vegas Reverend Grand Prix in 2023.

Here are some sights in Las Vegas Elvis Elvis lovers can still visit.

Stakehaus

Presley was one of the many famous dinners who visited the Golden Steakhouse right next to the north strip.

“Before his shows, Elvis often visited the steering wheel and had dinner at Butt 4,” according to the restaurant. “He would ask for a hamburger and the cooks will prepare him exclusively for him with the same garnishes we use for our meatballs.”

Put at a restaurant continues to be named Presley.

Wedding chapels

As Presley tied the knot in Las Vegas, the wedding was not held at any of its iconic wedding chapels – at least not in real life.

Presley and Priscilla Presley married Aladdin Las Vegas’s property, who made the way to Planet Hollywood in 2007.

However, Presley was filmed, walking along the path in the small church of the West because of his movie Viva Las Vegas.

The chapel has moved twice since then, but the original building continues to stand and hold weddings near the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign.

Other chapels offer weddings with themed Elvis, including the Chapel Graysland, the Elvis Chapel and the Little Vegas Chapel.

Elvis Presley Boulevard

Clark County Renamed Riviera Boulevard to Elvis Presley Boulevard in 2017.

Six decades earlier, Elvis and Liberas participated in a photo shoot at the already non-existent Riviera Hotel to promote the first performance of the King in Las Vegas.

Location to shoot UNLV

The site of the Barrick Museum at Unlv was once a high school and a dance studio, where Elvis and Hollywood star An-Margret performed “C’mon Everyld” for the Viva Las Vegas blockbuster.

Westgate

Presley spends the bigger part of his time here at the International Hotel, when in Las Vegas, later renamed Las Vegas Hilton and is currently known as Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

He lived there and performed 636 consecutively sold out shows.

Presley’s legacy is immortalized by a bronze statue in the resort.

“Thanks to Elvis’s heritage, Entertainment lives in Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino,” according to the company. “Liberas, Barbra Streisand, Tina Turner and many others have decorated the international theater scene in the resort over the years.”

In June, the resort premieres the rostrum of the King comes home at Westgate Cabaret.
