Lubbock, TX – Sunny skies and mild temperatures start the week in Lubbock, but rain is on the way by midweek. Monday will have highs near 51 degrees with clear skies and calm conditions, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
According to the National Weather Service, rain showers are expected to begin late Tuesday night as a weather system moves into the area. Lubbock residents should prepare for wet conditions, with an 80 percent chance of rain continuing into Wednesday morning. Lows Tuesday night will drop into the low 40s, making for potentially slick conditions during the early commute.
Wednesday’s forecast calls for cloudy skies, showers and high temperatures near 50 degrees. The rain will taper off by Thursday as skies clear and highs reach 53 degrees. Warmer weather is expected through Friday, with sunny conditions and temperatures nearing 59 degrees.
