Texas Tradition: Armadillo predicts 3 more weeks of winter – News/Conversations 790 Kfyo

Forget Punxsutawney Phil – here in Texas we don’t rely on some fantastic Yankees to tell us what the weather will do. We have Bee Cave Bob, the prediction of Armadilo, and he made his great forecast on February 2 at the annual Armadillo Day holiday in Bee Cave, Texas.

Forget The Groundhog Texas has its own prediction of Armadilo

So what is the sentence? According to Bob, we have been for another six weeks of winter – well, in fact, for three weeks, according to the benevolent knights of the raccoon, the organizers of the event. So, in principle, the Texas winter is still a total mystery … It has been like for hundreds of years!

In the true lonely star fashion, Bee Cave Bob not only predicts the time – it also weighs on the Texas policy. As part of the tradition, Bob chooses the path: just for a political conservative year, left for liberal. This year he is fine, which means that Texas is expected to adhere to his conservative ways in 2025. This is not a surprise.

But how accurate is he?

Well, Bee Cave Bob has been making forecasts since 2010, and its records are as reliable as the Texas time itself. He nails him for a few years, and for others Mother Nature just does what she wants. But one thing is for sure-Armadilo’s Day has become a tradition of Texas size, which is much cooler than waiting for the stitch in the freezing Pennsylvania Snow!

Meanwhile, here in Lubbok, we have a porridge dog Pete …

Lubbock Pitt’s own overwhelming dog makes his day in the area-can we trust him?

As you may know, Lubbock has its own atmosphere that predicts atmospheric influences, and its name is Prairie Dog Pete! Every year, Pete pops up from his hole in Prairie Dog Town at Mackenzie Park to make his great prediction at The GroundHog Day.

So what happened this year? Pete saw his shadow, which, according to tradition, means another six weeks of winter. But here’s the kick – Lubok hit 79 degrees the same day! Classic Texas Time. One minute in a hood. Next, you carry AC!

Will winter last? Will we fire a grill next week? Will we get a blizzard in March? Who knows! But one thing is for sure – Bee Cave Bob is the only expert in the time we really trust in Texas.
