Austin, Texas – A Texas MP works to close the difference between what Texas teachers and school administrators are paid throughout the country.

State representative Carrie Isaac has filed a bill for a house (HB) 2562 to limit the salaries of the guards to only twice the amount the highest paid teachers in the classroom do.

“We need to maintain good teachers in our school rooms and not lose them to administration because of the pay,” Isaac said.

She said that the intention to submit the bill after seeing that many schools are fighting school funding, but many supervisors make three, four, and sometimes five times more than the highest paid teacher in the field.

“The teachers do not enter the profession to become rich, we know this,” Isaac said. “I would like to see the wardens to enter their profession because they are dedicated.”

At the house of Isaac, which covers areas in dripping springs, Wimberly and New Braunfels- she said the average teacher pays from $ 58,000 to $ 63,000. With its account, the warders in her area will be limited to about $ 126,000.
