Taylor IV leads No. 13/15 Aggies past Gamecocks, 76-72 – Fox Carolina

Columbia, SC (South Carolina Athletics) -Waye Taylor IV had 25 points and tied his career high with seven 3-3-stories, as No. 13 Texas A&M detained South Carolina 76-72 on Saturday night.

Aggies (17-5, 6-3 Southeast Conference) seemed to have passed after the sixth 3 of Taylor at the beginning of the second half gave them a lead by 49-36. But Gamecocks scored the next 11 points to tighten things.

South Carolina still decreased only 74-72 after Colin Murray Boil’s bucket with 1.8 seconds remaining.

But Henry Coleman III of A&M followed with two free throws to end things.

Taylor coincided with his best performance from the outside, placed last March in the victory of the NCAA tournament over Nebraska.

Murray-Boil had 22 points to lead Gamecocks (10-12, 0-9).

Gamecocks won 71-68 in the historic building on January 10, 2023 in the first season of Lamont Paris. He became only the third head coach in the history of the program he won in the UK.
