TALLAHSSEE, FL – Woman killed, two men critically injured in a Capital Circle Sw & Frontage RD – local incident reports

Tallahassee, FL (February 12, 2025) -60-year-old woman was killed, and two men were critically injured after a serious two-vehicle crash in Talahassi on Tuesday night. The collision happened around 5:00 pm near the Capital Circle SW and Frontage Road intersection, according to a Florida highway patrol (FHP).

Authorities reported that the crash included a Chevy’s pickup truck, driven by a 46-year-old Talahasi man, and Nissan Maxima, occupied by a 60-year-old driver and passenger from Croforville. The incident began when the pickup, after stopping at the stop sign on Frontage Road, crossed the lanes south of the capital SW directly on the road of the Nissan Maxima, which was traveling south in the central lane.

The pickup hits the left side of Nissan, causing severe damage. Nissan came to rest, facing east in the left turn lane, north of the SW metropolitan circle as the pickup also stopped east in the same lane.

Responding emergency cases arrived immediately to provide medical attention. The woman in Nissan was declared dead in place. Both Nissan’s driver and pickup driver were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

By the end of Tuesday evening, traffic north along the Capital Circle SW was redirected to Orange Avenue, while the southern sails were reopened after the crash investigation.

The Florida highway patrol is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Our deepest condolences come to the family and friends of the woman who have lost their lives in this tragic incident. We also expand our thoughts and desires for the complete recovery of the injured men.

Crossing accidents in Florida

The intersections are among the most dangerous places on Florida roads, with catastrophes in these places often leading to serious injuries or victims. Crossroads such as Capital Circle SW and Frontage Road in Talahassi often include drivers who fail to give the right on the road, evaluate traffic speed, or try dangerous maneuvers.

In this tragic case, the driver of the pickup, according to the reports, entered the Nissan path after stopping a stop sign, leading to a devastating side impact collision. T-column catastrophes, like described, are particularly dangerous, since the countries of vehicles provide less protection than the front and rear. Such effects often lead to severe injuries or victims, especially for those sitting on the side of the vehicle that has been hit.

The common factors contributing to the accident accidents include distracted driving, failure to stick to motion signals, disturbed driving and poor visibility. In Florida, where roads like Capital Circle SW carry severe travel traffic, even a short pass in judgment can have catastrophic consequences.

For victims and their families, the consequences of a serious incident can be huge, both emotionally and financially. Medical expenses, salaries lost, funeral costs and emotional trauma can put a lot of burden on those affected.
