TALLAHSSE SOUL FOOD Chef talks about food and culture during the month of black history – WCTV

Tallahassee, Florida (WCTV) – Mental cuisine is an aspect of black culture. In honor of the month of black history, a Talahassi chef shared how he brought families in the capital through his homemade food for a soul soul.

Charles Reddik said Sunday is days, many families communicate over hot food. He has seen dozens of crowds around his food truck, Sunday Soulfood Pop Up, located at 660 W 4th Ave Tallahassee, Florida.

He puts his soul in every dish, but the origin of the recipes, passed on by one generation to the next, has a gloomy reality.

“We didn’t always get the best of the best, so we took the pieces from the rest, and turned them into some incredible dishes,” Reddik said. “This showed our power and how we can come up with different recipes.”

The chef said he had started cooking for family and friends before he started sharing his passion with the capital and beyond.
