Tallahassee, Florida (WCTV) -18 years old is behind bars in connection with a deadly random shooting in 2023, according to court documents.
Jadarius Brown did not compete for charges of murder on Monday and was sentenced to five years in a state prison and five years of probation, the documents said.
Brown was 17 years old when the accidental shooting happened at the Springfield apartment complex. Brown and three others were in a car in the complex parking lot when he “inadvertently” pulled the trigger and hit the 18-year-old Trenity Hardy, according to the Talahasi police station.
Brown drove Hardy to the hospital after throwing the gun in a separate place, TPD said. Later, the victim died in the hospital from his injuries.
