Tallahassee Man accused of attempting murder after a shooting incident – Newsbreak

Tallahassee, Florida-24-year-old man has been accused of attempting murder after a shooting incident last September, according to a Talahasi police station. Suspect Steve Barrett, Jr., has been detained in Palm Beach County and is now in custody in the detention of Leon County.

On September 11, 2024, officers responded to firing a 2500 block on West Tennessee Street, where they found an elderly man suffering from multiple firearms. The victim was reported to have experienced the injuries to meet Barrett to resolve personal differences. After his arrival, Barrett claims to have kept the victim under shooting, tried to abduct him and shot him many times when he refused to comply before he escaped from the stage.

Barrett is against charges, including a robbery with a firearm, a robbery that descends with a firearm, a kidnapping with the intention of causing bodily harm and attempted murder.
