Samantha McCoy’s home is on the northwestern side of Talahassi in the Westwood Community. She says she heard a strong blast early Wednesday morning.
“Four o’clock in the morning we had all this snow and snow,” McCoy explained. – My partner rushed upstairs and said something happened outside … We heard a strong rumble. “
It was the sound of a free -standing car port outside McCoy’s city house, which collapsed on several parked cars, including its own.
He also removed the electric meters nearby.
The city says that the damage to the meters was an electrical danger of fire. As a result, employees killed the power of the meters operating five units of Westwood.
The decision was left with the residents who live by generators and for McCoy – to get money for hotels.
“Some of us have pets who have to go to a hotel to make sure they remain warm,” McCoy said. – Since we were without power so long, I just went to our dark apartment and threw all the groceries and refrigerated foods. “
