Talahassi police warns residents after attacking a gang of dog

The Talahassi Police Department warns the residents of Western Talahasi to be alert to a dog who may have joined four others when attacking a person shortly before noon on Sunday.

The offers were sent to 800 block of southern lipon Road near Jackson Bluff Road in connection with an animal attack around 11:30 in the morning

“Employees arrived to find a victim with serious but life -threatening bite injuries by several dogs,” a TPD incident reports on social media. “Witnesses described that they see 4-5 dogs to conduct the attack. Dogs ran before the law enforcement agencies arrived.”

Police were able to find four of the dogs and they were removed by animal control.

“Due to witnesses describing 4-5 dogs, there may still be one at large,” said the incident signal. “Citizens are encouraged to contact law enforcement if they see a loose dog in the area. Do not approach and call the law enforcement authorities.”

Employees also warned the viewers, volunteers and participants in the Marathon capital to be aware of their surroundings.

If some loose or aggressive dogs are seen by citizens, they are called to call 850-891-4200.
