A teenager was shot dead repeatedly on Tuesday morning in southern Talahasi, according to a Talahasi police department.

Around 4:48, the employees were sent to 4100 block of Ridge Haven Road after a call “in connection with an object suffering from multiple firearms.”

Arriving at the residence, they found a “female teenager at the high school”, which was transported to a local hospital with life -threatening injuries, a TPD spokesman told Democrat.

The department did not release any details about the circumstances of the shooting or the specific age of the victim.

“Detectives with the Violence Department of Crime have taken over the investigation, which remains open and active,” the agency wrote in an online incident report.

The incident was at least the third serious shooting in 2025. The TPD recorded two murders, one of them, caused by firing; The cause of death has not been revealed in the other case.
