Durham County Council is letting people back into the pool on October 14 and want families to visit during the half term holiday.
In a statement on their social media, they invited people to check out the new pool.
They said: “Check out the recently refurbished pool at Spennymoor Leisure Centre.
“Including a thrilling slide, beach splash, wave machine and classes for all ages.

During the major work, a new water play feature was added and the pool was upgraded to make it more efficient in the future.
The work is part of the leisure centre’s transformation, which will include a new Thrive kitchen serving healthy food and drink.
Cllr James Rowlandson, Durham County Council’s cabinet member for resources, investment and assets, said earlier: “We are delighted to be reopening Spennymoor Swimming Pool after a period of substantial maintenance to upgrade its systems and add some exciting new features.
