Suspect, shot by a police officer in Wilmington during a drug investigation – Phl17 Philadelphia

Wilmington police say a man was taken to the hospital after an officer shot him during a drug investigation on Tuesday.

Around 1:00 pm, drug members, organized crime and deputy department of the Wilmington Police Department were close to the 10th, and the Kirkwood streets conducting drug investigation. Employees identified a suspect, a 32-year-old man and tried to stop him. According to police, the suspect was in his car at one point on the sidewalk. The officer shot a firearm issued by the department, hitting the suspect once.

According to Police at Wilmington, employees immediately began to help as they were waiting for paramedics. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The allegations against suspects are in anticipation of a more investigation.

There are no wounded law enforcement officers.
