Suspect cartel members shoot in the US Border Patrol along the Texas -Mexico Border – FOX 26 Houston

Border patrol agents exchanged shooting with suspect members of the Cartel on the Texas-Mexico border on Monday afternoon.

Texas DPS Lieutenant Chris Olivarez says agents of the US Border Patrol near pediment, Texas were fired around 14:00

Olivores says the suspects have ran to the island of Fronton, between the US and Mexico.

Neither the suspects nor the border patrol agents were hit by the shooting.

DPS drones filmed video of the suspects.

“The State of Texas will continue to closely monitor the area and use every resource available to prevent transnational threats to our law enforcement partners and” interior, “Lieutenant Olivarez wrote on social media.

Governor Greg Abat sends to the National Guard of Texas to border

Texas Governor Greg Abbot sends hundreds more soldiers from bases to Houston and Fort Worth to the US -Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley.

The governor’s service says that the tactical border force in Texas will coordinate with the border patrol under the Trump administration to secure the border.

400 members of the unit will make the trip.

The specialized department of the National Guard has just completed a training exercise last week on how to repel the tide of migrants who are trying to cross the border.

The Texas team will obviously fill in border gaps until additional federal resources arrive.
