Seattle – Seattle police have announced the arrest of a $ 1 million suspicion on Tuesday, where crew uses stolen vehicles and construction equipment to head to multiple businesses.
Local law enforcement and federal agencies assisted the arrest operation on February 19, where Scott leader Marcus Rhodes was arrested.
A detective in Seattle was appointed to investigate a break in October 2024, where police claim that large safes and ATMs had been stolen and torn.
Police claim that the crew, consisting of four suspects, used stolen vehicles, along with the Jaws of Life tools to steal safe content.
These crimes are thought to have been planned because the vehicles used in the thefts were stolen days in advance. Seattle police estimated that the crew stole about $ 1 million and caused $ 500,000 in property damage.
According to court documents, Rhodes and his group are responsible for theft of an ATM at BECU in the Fremont neighborhood in Seattle.
They have also been charged with several other ATM thefts, including Wells Fargo in the Magnolia neighborhood, another Wells Fargo in Greenwood and BECU in southern Seattle.
It is unknown whether a burglary at the Sodo Kemp cannabis dispensary is one of the group’s suspects, as one uses the “jaws of life” of ATMs of the store.
Rhoades, the crew leader, was arrested through collective efforts by SPD detective, Sheriff of King County, FBI, Kent Police Division, Prosecutor General and Cabinets of the United States attorneys.
Rhodes was booked in King County for three first -degree allegations and three allegations of malicious mischief. He also faces additional charges of two second -degree burglary and two pieces of possession of burglar instruments.
Rhoades will enter the legal basis on March 5 at the Center for Regional Justice in Maleng in Kent.
