SUPER BOWL visitors filling rooms in Baton Rouge – WAFB

Baton Rouge, La. (Wafb) – Another massive event will be held in New Orleans, this time it’s the 11th Super Bowl in the history of the city.

“What we know is always when there is a big event in New Orleans that sells throughout the city,” says Laura Kate, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications to visit Batton Rouge. “

And it sells hotels, it’s a big impetus for Baton Rouge.

“The Super Bowl 59 comes to Louisiana and with it – thousands and thousands of visitors. Cating tells WAFB that some of these visitors had to act quickly to get a room in the Capitol city.

“Fans, those who actually come from Philadelphia, Kansas City, or all the United States, but are fans of these teams,” Cating said. “They reserved at the last minute because until last week they didn’t know they wanted to come.”

These solutions in the last second provide a Baton Rouge opening to take advantage. And the ability to offer something extra.

“We noticed not only Super Bowl fans, but also several celebrities,” says Leslie Thompson, Marketing Director at the Hilton Hotel.

“This is looking for some apartments and larger rooms that cannot enter New Orleans.”

Thompson says that through data trends, the hotel can evaluate the amount of traffic they will experience.

“We can see the trends in the area and we can start making adjustments mostly at speed,” says Thompson. “You know that demand and supply adjustments continue all the time at the hotel, but when you have a big event, you will see that the tariffs will start to hesitate in the early event.”

Main events like the one that will start on Sunday also help to bring future visitors to the city. Cating emphasizes the importance of the state to give a good impression and to show its best features to keep visitors return.

“This is the awareness it generates. It is overwhelming that it gives our city, our condition, “Cating said. “And this allows people to put Louisiana on their bucket list and say that I have to be there, I have to go there.”
