St. Paul – The students at St. Paul Primary School celebrated 100 days of costume learning and 100 themed activities.
The number 100 is especially important in kindergarten up to 2nd grade when used specifically to help children develop their “meaning of the number” or understanding of what orders numbers enter, how they treat each other and what numbers mean.
In one class in kindergarten, students decorate their classroom with paper chains made of 10 stitches each to understand that 10 groups of 10 things make one group of 100.
Elsewhere in the school, children dressed as 100 years old, and even used a filter of photos to mean how they would look when they were about a century.
