Red Curtains for the Red Cross: The benefit of relieving La Wildfire in memory of our beloved boy scout

(Film) Of course, the fog, the autumn work of David Lynch Twin Peaks is the most important Pacific northwest Noir, but much of his filmography focused in Los Angeles. In Mulholland DrivePure, cheeky Naomi Watts lands in Hollywood with dreams of becoming a star before meeting a strange woman with amnesia. In Lost highwayA saxophonist in Los Angeles and his wife receive fearsome VHS cartridges and things are stopped in a neo-a-notar network of murder and fraud. Even EraserheadThe alienating landscape is inspired by the time of Lynch living in La-La-Ing. In other words, this screening makes the perfect sense – show to see one of Lynch’s “most airy works” and support the American Red Cross of Big Los Angeles, who works to provide disasters relief for those affected by La Fires. “This will be the last time you will see one of [Lynch’s] Works in our present space, surrounded by the iconic red curtains of cinema; Our own red room for more than 50 years, “says in the great illusion. Yelacatt, Avery Cochrane and Chelle

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzzwjfza1-i

(Music) When she is not on the stage, performing the bopz electropop under her nickname Yelacatt, a Seattle -based Renaissance Renaissance Daniela White is a master of a usui reiki, sound healer, floral arranger, artist and designer of the chief. All her creative and spiritual endeavors shine in her music and style of performance with ethereal electronics, magnificent costumes and the empowerment of lyrics. Sonic, Yelacatt is something like Kylie Minogue’s PNW’s answer – contract, sexy and harmless. She will perform recent singles such as “Dreaming of the Heaven”, “Abrakadabra” and “Orgasatic Matrix” after opening sets by her colleagues Pop Queens Avery Cochrane and Chelle. 5 year old supakalipse of Fremont

(Food and drink) has nothing like a stewed bowl with something hot, storms and restorative to strengthen your mood and protect from the cold of winter. Fortunately, Fremont’s restaurants have risen to the occasion with a “neighborhood winter soup walk” called Fremont Soupocalypse, which allows the evenings to get their soup repair and maintain local business during their faint months of the year for charging. Amble through the neighborhood and enjoy special suggestions for dinner and take -off from Mischief Fremont, Shawn O’Donnell’s, El Camino, Swel, Triant Spirits, Esters Enoteca, Paseo, Kaosamai, Red Star Taco, Soul, Soul The George & Dragon, Dreamland, the local tide and the barrel thief between January 30 and February 2. You will collect the seal on your “Soupassport” for each soup destination – if you collect eight or more, you can redeem them in mischief before February 12 for free tasting, glasses and a bag for picking up local treats. GITS SEATTLE Record Party Party

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-75354hlxao

(Music) I once shopped at a Portland sound recorder store when I asked the man who was working behind the counter if they had GITS records. The man went straight in my face – his breathing stagnant with cigarettes – and shouted, “No, you will have to give him somewhere else!” So when I saw that Sub Pop reamed difficult to find the SEATTLE Punk Band album of 1992, French thugIssued only a year before the vocalist Mia Sapata was killed, I was deeply relieved, knowing that GITS fans would no longer be harassed by this comic book villain. This weekend, Vera project will celebrate the re -release of a new short movie screening Gits live in rkcndy followed by the signing of vinyl by the surviving members of the group. Plus, Vera will host an artistic exhibit of Sapata paintings. Kexp will host the 21+ version of the same event at 8:00 pm with a bar on the spot. Sunday 2/2

Dawn Cerny: Portmeirion

Dawn Kerni, Klenex Side Table for Simone Weil, 2024. Dawn Karney

(Visual art) I am a fan of dawn Kerni since I wrote about her mobile exhibition of the pandemic era Flip As early as 2021, “There is tension in the suspension,” I wrote at that time. “This tension is constantly in our lives; we all learn to balance endlessly.” This still feels true in the life of black – the abstract sculptures of the artist in Seattle feel theatrical but humble, hesitant in terrains of art and diligence with fine fun tones. Exhibit huh? The coupon returned to the side of a recent wall sculpture. (S)Frye Museum of Arts, 704 Terry Ave, cf.) Lindsay Costello

Monday 2/3

April pride psychedelic salon

On the left: April Pride, Rachel Demi and Tim Kack. See them discuss the psychedelists at the City Hall on Monday, February 3rd. The courtesy of the town hall

(Conversations) The new series of City Hall, Psychedelic Salon, is a monthly panel that intends to explore how psychedelics such as Psilocybin, Ketamine and MDMA “reshape the landscape of mental health.” Seeing how the only experience many Americans have with ketamine therapy is the observation of this scene of Adriana by Miami’s real hosts Getting high as a kite and then an uncontrollably exploded eyes and screaming for his dead dad in what he looked like a honey-spy is probably a good conversation! (Only me?) For the first installment, the host April Pride will talk to Unknown Founder Tim Kack and artist and photographer Rachel Demi for “the role of psychedelic in the counter -cultural movements of Seattle and how they affect the artistic expression.” This should be a captivating conversation, even for an unauthorized, stone-student like me. Tuesday 2/4

Sleeping Beauty

Stylist Harley Ellis with organza silk suit for the sleeping beauty. They made 18 identical pieces and it took one person for four months, just to fold them carefully. Billy Winter

(Dance) I recently attended the production of The hazelnut And I found myself sitting next to a small child in Tutu, who spent all the cough for performing and hacking, as if it were her personal performance. However, it was difficult not to be afraid of nature, music and ballet dancers on stage. I was dazzled, damn it! Let this be a reminder that art has the power to overcome all obstacles or anything. And here’s another performance that I can promise will blind you. “Historically informed conversion of ballet to the quiet northwest” to Sleeping Beauty Includes a picturesque design from the artist of Tlingit Glass Preston Singletary (which we interviewed here) and costumes from Paul Tasewell (Hamilton, West Side History, Pnb’s Swan lake). (We have a sneaky look here.) It is inspired by the Pacific northwest, so I hope Aurora wears Gore-Tex.
