Sioux Falls, SD (Kelo) – A wintry mix of light freezing rain, sleet and snow will affect southeast Keloland tonight and tomorrow morning.

Snow, sleet, freezing rain Friday night

As a result, winter weather advisories have been issued for counties shaded in blue. This advisor includes the Sioux Falls area. Precipitation amounts will remain light, but even a little freezing rain can make roads and untreated surfaces very slippery. Keep watching for weather updates tonight and tomorrow morning on Keloland News. Be sure to download the Free Keloland Storm Tracker app for the latest information as well.

The Futurecast expects temperatures to hold steady or rise later this evening across the Southeast. We expect most of the precipitation to move out of SE Kellowland after noon tomorrow, with warmer temperatures in western SD. Those temperatures will warm as early as Sunday with highs near 50 in Rapid City. Sioux Falls will even climb into the upper 30s.

Here are the forecast details.
