Lubbock, Texas (KCBD) – One person is in custody accused of crashed by a stolen vehicle in Northwest Lyubok after taking DPS Troopers in pursuit.
DPS says the soldiers have come across the stolen vehicle, reports Hobbes, New Mexico, in Lyubok, and tried to stop it. Then the driver decided to escape the soldiers in the car.
After driving through northern Lubbok, the car crashed into another vehicle near the 4th St. John Frankford, but continued to drive.
The pursuit continued until the car hit a light pillar in a 300 block of N. slide Rd. The troops claim that a 16-year-old boy was removed and at the Center for Minor Justice of Lyubbok County for the unlawful use of a motor vehicle and avoiding.
A 17-year-old girl who was the passenger was released from the scene, according to DPS.
