Stolen Pursuit of Car ends with a dramatic arrest of Wilmington Man – Mychesco

Newark, de – A man from Wilmington was arrested after pursuing a vehicle and a brief pursuit of his feet in Newark.

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, approximately 3:45 pm, Delaware’s state troops noticed Blue Saturn Vue with a violation of Wawa parking equipment on the Pulaski highway. During a computer check, the vehicle’s labels were found that registration was appointed to another vehicle.

When the soldier tried to stop the movement, Saturn’s driver allegedly escaped east along the Pulasi highway. Authorities say the vehicle was requested recklessly before stopping in the parking lot of the federal credit union driven by the Community. The driver, identified as 42-year-old George Brown, has been reported to have abandoned the vehicle and ran to a tree line where he was detained after a short pursuit of foot.

The more current investigation revealed that Saturn was reported stolen on January 24, 2025 as part of the Jurisdiction of the Wilmington Police Department.

Brown has been taken to squad 2, where he has been charged with numerous crimes, including receiving stolen property and neglecting a police officer’s signal, both crimes. He is also against allegations of resistance to arrest and several violations of movement.

Brown was appointed by the Court of Justice 2 and is committed to the Correctional Institution Howard R. Young instead of a $ 5,002 cash bond.

Authorities remind the public that the accusations are simply accusations and all persons are considered innocent until they are proven to be guilty of court.
