Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – The State Police in Nevada has arrested a minor in connection with Dui’s deadly crash in Las Vegas.

According to NSP on January 15, LVMPD requested the help of the assistance of highway homicide patrols in Nevada to investigate a fatal disaster that happened near Lamb Boulevard and Avenue Stuart.

Officials announced that the driver of minors in the car was accelerating north along Lamb Boulevard. The minor driver split a vehicle and then crashed into Chevrolet Tahoe.

After the collision, the minor, driving Chrysler, slid into the sidewalk, hitting a cyclist. The cyclist then hit a brick wall.

Police claim that the driver in the car, which was away, was taken to the hospital for life -threatening injuries. The minor and driver of Chevrolet were treated at the accident with minor injuries.

The cyclist identified as 41-year-old Luis Sanchez Ochoa. The elderly man from Las Vegas died on the spot according to police.

Following the investigation, NSP found that the minor had been violated.

Officials report that the minor was booked at the minor detention center and faced numerous accusations related to reckless driving.

The incident marked the fifth fatal disaster and death in 2025 so far that NSP has been investigating.
